At Central Park Dental, we don't want any patients neglecting their oral health due to financial concerns. We strive to remove any barriers between your dental well-being and your ability to receive the oral care you need.
Dr. Chan, Rensen, and Chu will always discuss your budget when going over your dental procedures. Our dental staff will work with you to ensure that you get the treatment you need. We are here to serve you and your family and help you achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.
We understand that each patient has different financial needs; and we work together to find a solution to get you the dental care you need, with or without insurance. Our dental staff will go through our different payment options, including:
Insurance
Navigating the world of dental insurance can be frustrating, even for us. In order to help make this process easier for our patients, we do everything possible to handle insurance claims for you. Insurance estimates accompany all treatment procedures before any work is done. If necessary or upon your request, we will ask insurance companies for pre-approval although this may delay the start of treatment.
Frequently, however, insurance companies will not disclose plan information to us citing privacy concerns. Also, there are sometimes limitations on procedures that we are not aware of until a claim is submitted and processed, especially if you have been to another dentist or specialist for treatment. Therefore, it is important you provide us with updated dental coverage information or the exact treatment performed at another dentist or specialist so we can avoid any paying for treatment that is not covered. We normally charge our patients only their portion of the fee unless the insurance company is unwilling to disclosure plan information to us or if we are unsure if the frequency limit has been reached.
For details of your coverage, it is always best to contact your insurance companies or the human resources department of your employer for further information. Your dental plan is a contract between your employer and your dental insurance company so they would be better at handling any coverage disputes.
Below is a list of some of the dental insurance providers we work with:
- Pacific Blue Cross
- Greenshield
- Manulife
- Desjardins
- Group Health
- RBC
- Chambers of Commerce
- Johnstons Group
- Industrial Alliance
- NIHB
Payment Options

If you do not have any dental insurance, fear not. We can work with you to prioritize the more urgent treatments and delay the optional treatments. We can make suggestions in enrolling plans that may help you to subsidize some of your dental needs. Sometimes, contacting the human resources department of your employer is the best way to realize dental coverage that you are not aware of.
Unless otherwise discussed, payment is expected upon completion of treatment. For more complex treatments, we will consider payment plans on a case-by-case basis. Call our dental office today and learn how Central Park Dental can be the solution to your oral health needs.
Missed/Cancelled Appointment
We strive to give the best time estimates when we book your appointments and strive to be on time with our schedule, so we ask that our patients also strive to be punctual to their appointments. From time to time, we understand that your visit may be delayed by things like traffic, just like our treatment time may at times be prolonged for unforeseen circumstances. We ask you to give us notice as soon as you can if your arrival will be delayed so we can plan accordingly.
If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please also let us know as soon as you can so we can offer your time slot to another patient in need. We do maintain a list of patients like yourself, who would like to be seen earlier than their scheduled appointments. We often have patients with dental emergencies who would like to be seen on the same day if possible and I’m sure if you are one of them, you would understand.
For patients who have chronic problems of tardiness or missing appointments, we do have a no show or cancellation charge. On occasion, we even have to dismiss some of these patients if they continually cause inconveniences for patients like yourself for timely appointments.
Financial Policy
Please review our office financial policies:
