Dental Insurance
Dental insurance coverage and national health can be tricky to navigate.
At Central Park Dental Clinic, we understand that dental insurance language can be exasperating, and we will always do our best to navigate the fine print.
However, we encourage our patients to contact their provider or an HR representative at their place of business before dental treatment. Sometimes, the insurance provider will not disclose coverage details or plan limit information to us due to patient privacy, and requesting a preauthorization letter can take time, which is discouraging for patients who need immediate dental care.
Of course, we’re always happy to process claims on your behalf and share insurance estimates before we begin your dental treatment or procedure.
If you’ve started treatment at another dental clinic, we urge you to share that information with us. Sometimes, we need to investigate further to understand coverage limits, and the information you share helps us assist you more effectively.
For the most up-to-date information on dental insurance, we recommend contacting your provider directly before visiting the dentist. Additionally, it is your HR department at your place of business and the insurance company that handles disputes.
For our part, we will always do our best to help you maximize your coverage and enjoy your benefits, armed with the information provided by you and your provider.
About Canadian Dental Care Plan
We're thrilled to now partner with the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). This collaboration enables us to deliver high-quality dental care to more patients in Burnaby than ever before, while offering a comprehensive range of treatments.
You may qualify for this plan if:
- If your household income is less than $90,000 per year
- You don't currently have dental insurance.
- You're an adult with a recognized disability and have the accompanying tax certificate
- You are older than 65 or younger than 18
For complete eligibility information, contact Service Canada.
It's essential to recognize that CDCP may cover a portion of dental care, but not all of it. In some cases, a preauthorization letter is warranted.
