Having a toothache or dental emergency can feel stressful, especially if you need emergency dentistry in Burnaby, BC, and you do not have access to your regular dentist or have not yet chosen a dental home you can trust.

The Central Park Dental Clinic team is here to help you regain your health and comfort without blame or judgment, even if it has been some time since your last dental check-up.

We welcome emergency dental patients and strive to treat dental conditions as quickly as possible – usually on the same day.

Three Common Dental Emergencies We Treat in the V5H 1Y8 Area

Pain and swelling – A toothache and swelling often indicate an infection. This can occur because patients need a root canal or because of poorly erupting wisdom teeth. We will take an x-ray to see what is going on and present you with all of your options.

Modern root canal treatment is not painful and will feel similar to a common filling. It may take a few days for the tooth to heal, but you can rest assured that you will feel much better by the time you leave the dental clinic.

Avulsed or knocked-out tooth – Sporting and auto accidents are common causes of a knocked-out tooth. We can often replace the tooth and secure it in place, saving it from requiring a dental implant or bridge. Keep the tooth moist and clean as you travel to our dental clinic. Time is of the essence when it comes to saving an avulsed tooth.

We will not usually replace a baby tooth, but we may recommend a space maintainer to ensure proper growth and development.

Broken tooth or crown – If you break a natural tooth or crown, pain indicates nerve exposure, and we will need to see you right away for your comfort. Without pain, we may be able to see you in the next day or two without any additional complications.

For emergency dental treatment in Burnaby, BC, we invite you to give the Central Park Dental Clinic a call to book an appointment.
