Over the last 2 years, we have been together fighting this pandemic and we begin to see the light at the end of tunnel. Many places have reopened and mask mandate in most public places have relented.

• Our office will communicate with you beforehand (by phone or email) to ask some screening questions. The questionnaire will ask if you have been tested COVID-19 positive or are exhibiting signs of COVID-19 (e.g. cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, new loss of taste or smell, etc), awaiting a lab test of COVID-19, have been in close contact with individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or have traveled to a region with high rates of COVID-19. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office and have your temperature taken as well. If we are unable to complete this step or if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, we asked that you self-isolate for 14 days prior to booking in to see us. We understand the inconvenience but we are doing the same for everyone (including all staff members and dentists) so you will also be protected.
• Patients who are over the age of 70 years or are suffering from Serious respiratory disease, Serious heart conditions, Immunocompromised conditions, Severe obesity, Diabetes, Chronic kidney disease or those undergoing dialysis, Liver disease and Pregnancy are considered vulnerable. If you encounter a toothache or have some other more urgent dental problem, we recommend that you book an 8 am appointment to minimize your exposure from other visitors attending our office.
• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
• We will also ask that you maintain distancing in the reception area for essential caregivers and parents of minors if they cannot wait in a vehicle or outside the clinic. Only one chaperone per family, please.
• We have installed sneeze guards or droplet barriers at all reception areas
• You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines and newspapers since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. Some children toys remain available and they are sanitized on a regular basis
• We had installed an air purification system even before COVID-19 that both filters and UV sanitizes the air multiple times per hour. We have since increased the number of these units throughout our office to provide the cleanest air possible.
• Introduced an oral pre-rinse by all patients to reduce exposure to germs
• Enhanced operatory disinfection procedures before and after all appointments with mist or fogging devices, in addition to our regular cleaning and disinfection procedure.
• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
• We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
